A New Year Means New Beginnings
This New Year Resolve To Help Someone You Love

With the new year upon us, we appreciate that this is the time of year many people gather with family to reflect on the past year's events and prepare for the coming year.  Many New Yorkers will pledge to learn something new, spend more time with family, or kick a bad habit.  As a client of our Firm, you know how important it is to have establishing a Living Trust Estate Plan on that list of New Years resolutions.  A few things that you should be encouraging your friends and family to think about this upcoming year are:
  • Establishing a guardian for minor children
  • Creating a durable power of attorney and health care documents
  • Minimizing, or even eliminating death taxes
  • Protecting assets and loved ones in the event of incapacity
Very often people put off their estate planning- "We'll do it next week"; "We'll do it next year".  We all know someone that has been procrastinating.  This year, resolve yourself to motivate your friends and family to get this important planning underway.

Our law firm regularly conducts FREE Living Trust Seminars.  A great opportunity to encourage proper planning is to invite your friends and family to attend one of these seminars so that they can find out in simple, straight forward terms- how the trust works, and if it would be right for them.  Click HERE to view our seminar schedule.
