The Law Offices of Saul Kobrick, P.C., an Elder Law and Estate Planning Law Firm located in Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester Counties of New York, would like to welcome, Trusts & Estates Attorney, James Byrne.

Mr. James Byrne, of Massapequa, New York, has been added to the team, working in the Estate & Trust Administration Department where he will focus on assisting Trustees and Executors administer the estates of their loved ones who have passed.
In this capacity, Mr. Byrne will walk the Trustees and Executors through the Estate & Trust Administration Process: determine ownership of assets, assist with the transfer of assets into or out of the Trust, assist clients in making claims for death benefits from insurance, annuities, IRA’s or retirement plans and, when necessary, he will also help the Trustees and Executors prepare and file New York and Federal Estate Tax Returns.
Mr. Byrne graduated from Providence College with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science, and earned his law degree from St. John’s University Law School, where he participated in the St. John’s Elder Law Clinic. He is licensed to practice law in the State of New York, and is a member of both the Nassau County Bar Association, and the New York State Bar Association, including the Elder Law and Trusts & Estates Sections. Mr. Byrne comes to the Law Offices of Saul Kobrick, after having worked for Miller & Milone, P.C. for close to six years as a Law Clerk and Attorney, where he gained hands on experience, particularly in the area of Elder Law
When asked why he chose this area of law, Mr. Byrne explains: “I feel it is rewarding to know that a client entrusts you with the responsibility to carry out their wishes and intentions after they have passed on, and in turn making sure that said wishes and intentions are fulfilled”.
