The Law Offices of Saul Kobrick Proudly Supports
“The Alzheimer’s Disease Education Conference & Expo 2011”

On March 10, 2011 Anthony Moccia, an associate attorney with the Law Offices of Saul Kobrick, P.C. represented the estate planning and elder law firm at the Alzheimer’s Disease Education Conference & Expo sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association. Since long-term planning for families with loved ones diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and other progressive diseases is Mr. Moccia’s main focus with the firm, he was very eager to take this opportunity to support such an important cause.

“When an individual is diagnosed with a debilitating disease like Alzheimer’s their family and friends quickly become overwhelmed with the legal and financial realities associated with the disease,” Explains Attorney Moccia. “It is very important that these family members seek the help and guidance of experienced elder law attorneys when such a diagnosis is made.”

The Law Offices of Saul Kobrick, P.C. is an estate planning and elder law firm with offices in Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester Counties of New York. Attorney Moccia’s work with the firm encompasses all aspects of planning, counseling, educating and support for the senior or disabled client, as well as their family members.

As an advocate for the senior and disabled clients, Attorney Moccia provided attendees of the expo with free reports that covered a variety of topics relating to incapacity planning, including the use of Irrevocable Trusts. Each person that picked up one of these free reports was entered into a raffle for a chance to win a free Durable Power of Attorney as well as free Healthcare Documents.

“Planning ahead is important,” stresses Moccia, “at the bare minimum, everyone should have a durable power of attorney, a HIPPA document, and a healthcare proxy, so that someone can step in to handle their affairs in the event of a disability. Your family and loved ones will be locked in to whatever documents, if any, you have prepared.”

About Our Firm: The Law Offices of Saul Kobrick, P.C. devotes its practice to estate planning, probate, and elder law matters. We offer guidance and assistance in many areas of elder law, including incapacity planning, long-term care planning, and Medicaid assistance. For more information about our services, or upcoming seminars, please call (800) 295-1917, or visit our website at www.kobricklaw.com. You can also follow us online through any of our social media channels- including Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, and YouTube. With the average cost of nursing home care in New York reaching over $10,000 per month for Alzheimer’s patients, the time for you and your loved ones to consult with an elder law attorney to make sure your legal affairs are in order is now.
